I lost a good friend today

It’s hard to put into words feelings when someone close to you dies unexpectedly. Ron played bass for story side b and we toured a lot together. Ron was a stud. I talked with him a couple weeks ago and asked him if he had been working out and he said he had been doing cardio but not lifting cuz he puts on too much muscle. He looked like a professional football player! He loved God and life. He cared about others and was easy to talk to. I don’t know much about how he died other than he was playing ball and passed out. It’s sobering really. Life is so fragile. It makes me think about the end and if some of the things I’m doing now are really that significant. Please say a prayer for Ron, his wife, family, band and friends. Heaven got richer.

Sorry dude that makes me realize how fragile our life really is I was Sorry to read this post. You never know when God is going to call us up you know….but I really like how you wrote heaven just got richer!! that gave me chills because that is so much truth is that statement and I think that God wants us think in those terms!!
Condolences to his family and friends…it seemed like there was so much going for him. It truly is sad when someone so young dies so unexpectedly, but his purpose here on this earth was complete. Phase I of multiple facets… God needed someone do some work up above and he was qualifed for the job. Just know he’s up in heaven now, always living in blue skies. An angel with a mission, smile down on the world, found in paradise, and when the stars keep falling from the sky, strike up a conversation with prayers to him on the other side…you’ll see him when the time is right.
God bless~
Ron will be greatly missed at Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. We were tickled when he would play with our worship band on Sundays with Jordan when on break from Storyside B and other commitments. Such a talented musician and friendly young man who always took time to say hello to our family including our young kids. His love for the Lord and desire to serve His Kingdom were apparent. God always seems to get the good ones…
There’s a scripture in the Old Testament, and tho I don’t remember off hand exactly where at the moment, it says something like, that the godly are taken before their time, that many don’t even ask why, but if they knew that they were taken to escape the evil that was to come….if you have an ear to hear, you know that is deep..SELAH…May His Holy Spirit continue to minister comfort and peace and hope…Christ Jesus is The Hope of Glory…Blessings to all who are in Christ, abiding in The Vine…xoxo
Paul, that’s so sad. I will continue to pray for his family.
Paul, I’m very sorry for Ron’s sudden passing. It will be nice to meet him in Heaven. I’ll be praying for his family and friends. Thanks for the impression you have left on my life , your music is enjoyable and edifying.
Ron, …..more….
wow I just read this and I’m sure he played Bass when you came to Boise back in 06′ for the harvest festival. He signed a picture and wrote, “get to know god more!” he was so nice with some things he said to my wife and I that night…. I cant believe it he was young, it makes you think and reflect that we should all be living life as a last day, because you never know when this life will could end suddenly! Thanks for sharing Paul.
